Yesterday, Cofer Brothers of Tucker delivered 2 LVL beams for the house. They are 14" deep and 18' long. I called Cofer Brothers at 9 a.m. and they arrived before lunch, free delivery.
Price $200.
Here is one of the columns roughed in.
The columns are 4 - 2 x 8's on either side of the span, 8 total.
The wife and I managed to rope the beam up from the attic. It was tough.
